The Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ghazipur is a district level Farm Science Center established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi under host institution Post- Graduate College Ghazipur for speedy transfer of technology to the farmers' fields. It was established in 2002 by the great efforts of renowned social worker Shri Rajeshwar Prasad Singh.
The operational area of this Krishi Vigyan Kendra is entire Ghazipur district. The aim of Krishi Vigyan Kendra is to provide latest technologies developed at research institutions to the farmer's field for increasing production, productivity and income from the agriculture and allied sectors on a sustained basis.
The Krishi Vigyan Kendra provides training in various fields of agriculture, horticulture, soil science, animal science, fisheries, home science, plant protection etc to the practicing farmers, unemployed rural youth, extension personnel, farmwomen. KVK conducts On Farm Trials on various agricultural and allied fields for assessment and refinement of technologies. It also conducts frontline demonstration on cereals, oilseeds, pulses, vegetables and allied enterprises.
